Easter has passed, and now it's time for first communion and confirmation events in the Southside region to commence.
If you're unfamiliar with these events but want to know more:
First communion is the initial sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church. During this sacrament children first receive reconciliation followed by reception of the blessed sacrament.
Confirmation is the second sacrament of initiation. It marks the sealing of a child with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This sacrament marks the start of a person's individual walk with Christ.
These two definitions were thoughtfully provided by the Year Six class belonging to Miss Whitlock to allow others not familiar with Catholicism to understand these events.
We have an extensive range of gift ideas specifically for both events, as well as a large collection of rosarys and accessories.
If you're looking for something a little different, check out the range of very popular prayer books. These perfect-bound books have a padded cover, gold foiled edges, ribbon bookmark and every page is thoughtfully designed. With details such as these, it's no wonder they go fast when we get a delivery of them.
